  2. THE SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER WALKTHROUGH PLUS

Jump down into the water and exit to find the Collapsed Temple base camp. Through the latter, you’ll enter a large room. One lets you interact with a breakable wall to create another shortcut. Swim on the bottom, and look for the survival cache. In the same area as the barrier you destroy with the shotgun, enter the water. (If you don’t have the shotgun, you need to the do the main mission that veers in the opposite direction of the challenge tomb.) Hop across the chasm, climb up the wall and use the shotgun to blast away a barrier and create a shortcut. Immediately after you rappel down, head through the narrow passageway. I briefly saw it when I was loading the leaderboards for the challenge tombs, so it's there, but you don't really see it.After you leave the water, there’s only one path ahead. I'm no fan of Epic, but I have to be honest, I didn't find any Epic login screen or any sort of in your face Epic anywhere in this game. Lastly, I want to mention that recently there was an Epic integration within this game. Play hardest difficulty, complete all side quests, get all collectibles, do all tombs, kill in specific ways and wear a specific combination of weapons and outfits and boom, 100% complete. You just play the game and you'll be awarded 100% in the game. One thing this game did really well was the achievements. Lastly I want to add that there was lot of effort made with facial expressions which I enjoyed and the voice acting wasn't bad either. I was running at about 140 fps for most of the game, only dipping frames every few cutscenes or so. It's just not as good as Rise of the Tomb Raider, but not a bad game. Enemies with helmets just are impossible to one shot even with the DLC weapons unfortunately (even though it says that in the description). Rise of the Tomb Raider still is a much better choice of game, but in order to complete the series, it's not bad, stealth was bumped up a bit, but felt that it just feels slow when taking down enemies. You can take that as either a positive or negative.

THE SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER WALKTHROUGH UPGRADE

So, you just need to upgrade one random weapon to max in order to get 1 achievement and use the DLC weapons after that to just cheese the enemies.

THE SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER WALKTHROUGH PLUS

The only plus in my opinion regarding the DLC's are the weapons you get with it. Yes, they try and incorporate the tomb into the story with some weird angle like it's the granny's old tale about being a protector of the city and now that granny's great grandchild needs to clear the dungeon in order to learn more about the past. It's just Time Attack and Score attack for 7 different challenge tombs. Are the DLC's worth it? I honestly wouldn't say so. You need to get 7 DLC's in order to get 35 achievements otherwise 100% is impossible. It just blatantly ignores you and loads to infinite and beyond.ĭLC's locking achievements. Now, just to be clear, I've got this game installed on my SSD which is pretty fast, but some cutscenes just blatantly prevent you from skipping it entirely. I've died so many times on Deadly Obsession and had spawned back all the way at the previous camp fire which was about 15 min worth of progress (that's the difficulty itself that's punishing), but I felt that around 80% of my deaths were unfair.Ĭutscenes. There's a setting that reduces Camera Shake, but can't turn it off? Why can't I just turn it down all the way?!įunky jumping angles especially when on climbable walls with the axe. Certainly a lot more during Time Attacks for the Challenge Tombs.Ĭamera Shake, holy ♥♥♥♥ this was annoying!! ESPECIALLY in Time Attack. This happened about 6 or 7 times during the main campaign on Deadly Obsession (hardest difficulty). It's like sometimes the inputs don't register and it gets quite frustrating at times. Movement sometimes feel clunky, especially when trying to do certain tasks fast in order to get decent times in Time Attack. I personally don't think this game is better than the previous iteration, but in short, here's my reasons for saying that. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, not a bad game and certainly fun at times, I really enjoyed certain parts of this game.
